Crystals can absorb energies from ourselves and from the environment around us.
Over time, the energies your crystal is holding, can build up and affect the full potential of your crystal.
Regularly cleansing and recharging your stones is the only way to restore your crystal back to its pure state.
All our ethically sourced crystals at Exxale have been cleansed and energised, ready for you.
We suggest that you perform your own cleansing ritual to cleanse and charge your new crystals, introducing your own energy and positive intentions.
To choose a cleansing method, use your intuition – whatever feels right for you and the crystal you want to cleanse.
Your intention is the key! Think of a bright light, and good intentions when cleansing & charging your crystals.
HOW TO CLEANSE & CHARGE YOUR CRYSTALS:
RUNNING WATER
Water is believed to neutralise any negative energies stored inside crystals.
Directions: Place your crystals directly under tap water, natural rain, or in a stream, for a few minutes.
As you do so, ask the universe to remove all negative energies and fill it with your good intentions. If you are a visual person, you can imagine a ray of white light around the stone while cleansing. Pat dry crystals once complete.
We recommend that you do not soak your crystals in water.
Use this for: hard crystals, such as quartz & amethyst
Don't use this for: crystals that are brittle or soft, such as anything ending in ‘ite’
MOONLIGHT
The full moon is a powerful moonlight full of high vibrational energy that will cleanse and charge your crystals to their highest and brightest form.
Directions: Leave your crystals outside under the moonlight overnight (preferably a full moon). If you don't have an outdoor area that is safe for your crystals to be placed, a windowsill will work, too.
We recommend bringing your crystals in before the sun comes up as some crystals (bright crystals) may fade in sunlight.
If it is damp outside, we recommend not cleansing any soft stones that may get damaged by water.

SMUDGING TOOLS
Sage or Palo Santo Wood can be used to smudge crystals.
Smudging your stone is said to lift all unwanted energies and carry them away, restoring its natural energy.
Directions: Ignite the tip of the Sage or Palo Santo, then put out the flame, and wave the smoke around your crystals. Allow the smoke to envelope your crystals for around 30 seconds. As you do this process, think positive intentions, and try to visualise all unwanted energies being lifted.
We recommend performing this ritual near an open window, so the unwanted energies can exit.
Use this for: any crystal or stone
SELENITE & QUARTZ
Selenite and Quartz are unique and powerful crystals that have the ability to purify & cleanse crystals, intensifying their natural energies. Selenite and Quartz - symbolising the moon, are the white light of the universe.
Directions: Place your crystals on or around a piece of Selenite or Quartz and leave for a minimum of 6 hours. Following this method; without diminishing their own energy, the Selenite or Quartz will recharge and cleanse your crystals of any unwanted energies.
Use this for: any crystal or stone
SOUND
Singing bowls is a great way to uplift your crystals’ energy, cleanse and clear impurities and negative vibrations. It is believed that your crystals will align with the frequency of the sound.
Directions: Place your crystals surrounding the singing bowl. Start playing your singing bowl until it is singing good vibrations. Continue to play it for a minute remembering to set your intentions for your crystals.

STORING YOUR CRYSTALS:
Most crystals are fragile and need some extra love and care.
If your crystals are on the move, then we recommend keeping them in a pouch for safe protection.
If you want to place your crystals around your home, then it is recommended to keep them out of direct sunlight.
